IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Dear All,
Forever trying to enhance our students' performances and sense of achievement, as well as optimize resources, we have been considering ways to make evaluations more operative without detracting from academic outcome. To that effect we are introducing a few changes this year in hopes of lightening the impact of assessment on students' moods.

On principle, the changes will be in force as from July 2015 and will run for a one-year trial period, which should allow us to monitor the efficiency of the new arrangement. This will be as follows:

July/August Examination Board:
The written part of the exam will take place on the 1st date, that is, July 13th-17th, beginning with essay-writing on Monday 13th, as officially published. The oral interview will be posponed until the 2nd date, that is, August 3rd-7th.  Dates for delivery of marks will be duly posted.

Pre-Finals:
As from August 2015 there will be two pre-final dates a year to test essay-writing.  These will be in August and November every year and Pass results will hold valid subsequently for a quarter, namely until the November-December Exam Board inclusive for the August pre-final test, and until the February-March Exam Board inclusive for the November pre-final test, the latest dates at which the oral interview must be taken for exam completion.

Our first pre-final will be on Monday, August 3rd, at 9 am, coinciding with the 2nd exam date; the 2nd pre-final date will fall in November on a date to be set.

We expect you will be pleased at the news and trust students will make responsible use of the opportunity.

With best wishes,
Ana Moldero
